الوطواط (Al-Watwat), the Arabic-language Batman series published by المطبوعات المصورة (Illustrated Publications) from 1966 to 1975, brought the Dark Knight to a new audience across 131 issues. Featuring the dynamic artwork of Carmine Infantino, Neal Adams, and Irv Novick, this run adapted classic American stories for regional readers. As one of the earliest sustained translations of a major superhero into Arabic, it stands as a landmark in international comics publishing.
