A Danish institution since 1945, Aktuell is a long-running anthology comic series that has brought generations of readers a steady diet of single-panel gags and serialized strips. Published by the magazine of the same name, its pages have been most consistently defined by the work of three master cartoonists: Ernie Bushmiller (of Nancy fame), the Danish wit Storm P., and the political satirist Victor Weisz.
