Akissi, launched by Reprodukt in 2024, is a vibrant, internationally minded comic series following the mischievous adventures of its young titular heroine. The series is most strongly associated with the acclaimed French-Ivorian creator Marguerite Abouet, who brings her signature warmth and humor to stories of childhood in contemporary Africa. With just one issue so far, Akissi marks a notable expansion of Abouet's storytelling into a new format, promising the same spirited, slice-of-life charm that made her Aya series beloved.
