Aigle Noir

Aigle Noir, launched by Éditions des Remparts in 1958, is a French adventure comic that follows a masked hero through six issues of postwar pulp intrigue. Though its run was brief, the series is remembered for its striking black-and-white artwork and the shadowy, vigilante tone that defined the era's small-press crime comics.
