Adventures of Biggles

In the mid-1950s, British publisher Thorpe & Porter brought Captain W.E. Johns’ beloved flying ace to the comic page with Adventures of Biggles, a nine-issue series running from 1955 to 1959. Most frequently illustrated by the skilled Albert De Vine, the strip translated the airborne exploits of the resourceful pilot into crisp, panel-by-panel adventures.
