Achille Talon Magazine
Dargaud · 1975–1976 · 7 issues
About the series
A short-lived but lively Dargaud anthology from the mid-1970s, Achille Talon Magazine spun off Greg’s popular long-running series into a seven-issue showcase. Each issue featured new adventures of the pompous, loquacious Achille Talon alongside his recurring foils—the long-suffering Hilarion Lefuneste, the eccentric Papa Talon, and the Disciple—plus strips starring the medieval inventor Léonard. Written and drawn entirely by Greg himself, the magazine offered a concentrated dose of his signature satirical humor and dense, wordy cartoons. Though brief, it stands as a dedicated playground for one of French comics' most prolific writer-artists.
