Achille Talon

Achille Talon, the pompous and loquacious French intellectual, returned in a pocket-sized series from 1980 to 1992, written and drawn entirely by his creator, Greg. Over ten issues, the series continued the character's signature blend of highbrow wordplay and slapstick, with his long-suffering neighbor Hilarion Lefuneste, his doting parents Maman and Papa Talon, and the perpetually frustrated Major Lafrime all playing their parts. This compact run represents a later chapter for one of European comics' most beloved verbal comedians.
