ABC America's Best Comics

In 2000, the Italian publisher Magic Press launched ABC America's Best Comics, a 21-issue series that collected and translated Alan Moore's celebrated America's Best Comics line for an Italian audience. Running through 2006, this anthology brought together the eclectic, genre-bending titles from Moore's creator-owned imprint—including the sci-fi heroics of Tom Strong, the pulp adventures of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and the whimsical world of Top 10—showcasing the writer's intricate storytelling and the distinctive art of collaborators like Chris Sprouse and Kevin O'Neill. More than a simple reprint, the series served as a vital bridge, introducing Italian readers to some of the most inventive and literate comics of the early 2000s.
