In the late 2010s, Viz Media released 7th Garden, a compact eight-issue series that reimagines the classic battle between angels and demons through a comedic and romantic lens. The story follows a young gardener who inadvertently summons a powerful demon, only to have her turn his life upside down as she claims his soul for her own purposes. Written and illustrated by Mitsu Izumi, the series is known for its lush, detailed artwork and playful subversion of supernatural tropes.
