30 Days of Night

A chilling horror series from Infinity Verlag, 30 Days of Night (2003–present) is set in the isolated Alaskan town of Barrow, where the month-long polar night becomes a hunting ground for vampires. The story is most strongly associated with writer Steve Niles and artist Ben Templesmith, whose stark, shadow-drenched visuals define the series' bleak atmosphere. This single-issue debut launched a franchise that revitalized vampire horror in comics by stripping away romanticism and focusing on raw, survivalist terror.
