10th Muse

A contemporary reimagining of the classic Greek muses as modern-day superheroes, 10th Muse launched from Avatar Press in 2002, with a core two-issue story crafted by veteran writer Marv Wolfman alongside series co-creator Darren G. Davis, and brought to life by artist Roger Cruz. The series introduces a new, ninth Muse—Emma Sonnet—who is empowered to protect humanity from supernatural and cosmic threats. While its initial run was brief, the title established a lasting independent superhero universe that would expand across multiple series and crossovers over the following decades.
