The Grim Reaper battles enemy forces at an American civilian camp, fighting off armed soldiers and saboteurs in a wartime action sequence. A separate adventure featuring Tim and Gladys involves their encounter with crocodiles and natives in a cave, where they discover emeralds and uncover a plot involving a disguised villain named Monson who had been impersonating a Hindu fakir. Jack Rogers confronts a magician and art thief in a story involving a hollow diamond-filled statuette and a smuggling ring, ultimately exposing the villain's deception and his murder of an innocent man.
