Ghost Canyon
10 pp · western-frontier

Cattle rustlers are terrorizing the ranchers near Dobie, and desperate for help, they turn to Tom Mix—who suspects the stolen herds are being driven through the supposedly haunted Ghost Canyon. Tom leads a small party into the eerie canyon to investigate, but they're met with mysterious "ghost" voices, phantom arrows, and war whoops that send his companions' nerves rattling. As Tom works to separate fact from folklore and uncover the truth behind the supernatural scare tactics, he discovers the real scheme at work—and finds himself facing genuine danger that's far more earthly than ghostly.

The Gunsight Holdup
4 pp · western-frontier

Tom Mix races to stop Black Bart's gang after they hold up a gold shipment from Gunsight Mine and attempt to make their escape by hijacking a freight train through Devil's Pass. With quick thinking and expert gunplay, Tom battles the outlaws aboard the moving cars, using everything from his rope skills to well-placed steam to outmaneuver the desperate criminals. When the sheriff arrives to collect the captured gang, Tom credits his success to Jane's quick work organizing a posse—but a shocking turn awaits when one escaped outlaw strikes back in a way that sets up Tom's next perilous adventure.
