# The Favorite Comic #290 This anthology issue contains several stories including "K.N. Pepper, King of the K-Nuts, Has an Idea That Isn't So Dusty," in which K.N. Pepper experiences a series of misadventures involving a typhoon and dust storm around his castle. The issue also features "Justice," a serial about Valentine Gold, an art lover and businessman who becomes entangled in a complex property dispute with his former business partner Tom Nelson over land in South America. Additionally, the comic includes shorter strips such as "Sally Cinders," "Hard Cheese," "A Good Tip!," "Flossie and Phyllis," "In Earnest!," "It Looked a Tree—After All," and "Victor Brand, Detective and Mystery Expert," in which Victor Brand investigates "The Clue of the Apple," uncovering a mystery involving false teeth and a valuable ruby hidden in an apple.
