The Comet #50 is an all-star anthology comic featuring three main stories. "The Golden Scarab" follows Miles, an Arab guide, and his companion Ninas as they attempt to steal a golden scarab from a palace; Miles disguises himself and uses cunning to infiltrate the fortress, eventually escaping with the treasure. "Round the World in the Flying Fish" depicts Jack and Jill's experimental trip around the world in an airship-submarine hybrid called the "Flying Fish," which they must abandon when it crashes into the ocean near an island. "Out of Doors" is an educational feature about song thrushes and their nesting habits, accompanied by various other informational articles and regular comic features including "Film Fed," "Toy-Time Corner," "Chuckles Corner," and a Cadbury's Quiz section.
