The Comet #39 is an all-star anthology comic featuring multiple stories. "Jungle Lord" follows Dick and Bibi on a jungle expedition where they encounter Arab slave traders, a fallen tree, a crushed zebra, and native warriors led by a character named Snape, culminating in a cliffhanger involving sacrifice to Bomba. "Round the World in the Flying Fish" stars Jack and Jill on an experimental trip around the world in an all-purpose machine, during which they arrive on a strange planet, encounter Uncle Robert and a half-human Earth-dweller, discover a Zeta generator weapon, and face attacks from mysterious space creatures before attempting to escape in the Flying Fish. The issue also includes feature sections such as "Off the Set" profiling actor Richard Dix, "Out of Doors" with an article on moles by Joan Clement Jones, and various puzzles, quizzes, and reader columns.
