Peter and Beetle explore a stream near a pond and discover it leads to a mountain inhabited by the Troll King, who has used his magic powers to transform captive folk into trees for his mountain. The Troll King captures Peter and Beetle, but they escape with help from Dragon, who was also transformed into a tree by the troll's magic. Using magic powder that reverses enchantments, they free Dragon and restore the transformed trees back to their original forms, defeating the Troll King and his minion in the process.
