Sun #84 is an anthology comic containing several stories: "Young Joey in Story-book Land" follows a young character who encounters miserable townspeople and attempts to cheer them through singing and laughter, eventually being brought before a judge. "A Ticket to Tomahawk" depicts a Western adventure involving outlaws and pursuit across desert terrain. "The Black Rose" presents a crime story with multiple panels showing action and intrigue. "Winchester '73" tells of outlaw Waco Johnny Dean's confrontation with Steve Miller over a prized Winchester rifle and a woman named Lola, with the story concluding to be continued. The issue also features a "Famous Figures" section, a coloring competition offering Robin Hood's bow and Lady Marian's scarf as prizes, and a brief "Sammy Shuteye" humor strip.
