This anthology issue contains three main stories: "Buck Jones and the Red Bandit," in which a young pioneer named Tom Wala is run out of town and adopts the identity of the Red Bandit, leading to a confrontation when Buck Jones and others pursue him; "Harold Hare Goes to Town," a humorous tale of Harold the hare's misadventures searching for food and encountering what he mistakes for a monster before discovering gold; and "King of the Wild Horses," in which Prince, a stolen wild horse, is rescued by pioneers Tom and Mary, leading to a two-year quest to reunite the horse with its rightful heir after Prince is recaptured by his enemy.
