This anthology issue features three main stories: "Buck Jones: Fighting Sheriff in The Rock Valley Raiders," in which Buck Jones and a posse pursue outlaws Jake and Lefty who have stolen gold and taken hostages in a rocky region; "Sailor Sam and the Magic Collar Stud," where Sailor Sam and his companion Winny navigate a castle trap and encounter a magical collar stud while evading robbers; and "King of the Wild Horses," depicting a prince separated from his herd who is captured by horse traders but later rescued, ultimately leading to a confrontation with the traders at the pioneers' camp. The issue also includes shorter features such as "Hal Hotspur," "Monte Cristo and The Wreckers," "Cuckoo," "Pointless Puzzles," "Charlie Chipmunk," and "The Cheery Chum."
