This is an anthology issue containing several stories. The main feature, "Voyage to Venus," follows John, Joan, and Professor Randall as they crash-land on Venus after their spaceship reaches the planet; they encounter a Plesiosaur-like creature in the water, discover strange bird-like creatures that lay eggs, and eventually escape the planet when the birds attack them. Additional content includes an educational feature "Nature Talks: Oysters and Pearls" by Joan Clement Jones explaining oyster reproduction and pearl formation, a "Kindheit" comic strip about a dog named Sammy Snooks and a character named Kindheart moving furniture, and "Old Buck and the Tich," a Western story about a tramp and a boy on a ranch, along with various puzzle competitions, reader correspondence, and quizzes.
