This is an anthology issue containing multiple stories and features. "The Swiss Family Robinson" follows the Robinson family, sole survivors of a shipwreck, as they salvage materials from their wrecked vessel and construct a raft to sail to land, encountering difficulties when one family member nearly falls overboard during the launch. "Nature Talks: Cougar Cunning" recounts Jack Barker's encounter with a mother cougar and her three kittens in the mountains, describing how the animals' protective instincts nearly resulted in tragedy.
