Sun #171 is an anthology comic featuring several stories: "Moko and Boko" depicts the titular monkey and dog characters engaged in chaotic slapstick antics involving a toy car and various collisions. "The Joker's Fun Page" presents a humor section where readers can submit jokes for prizes, along with several comic strips featuring jokes about famines, duels, radio sets, and other topics. "My Pal Wagger" tells the story of a boy named Ned who loses his dog Wagger and must rescue him from a bully named Tom, ultimately convincing Tom to return the dog and treat him kindly. "Tommy's Magic Whistle" follows Tommy Brown, who borrows a magical whistle from his Aunt Emily that summons a genie named Wetan Moldi to help him send a birthday telegram, leading to comedic chaos as various characters attempt to use the whistle for their own purposes.
