The Flaming Trail!
8 pp

Straight Arrow rides to the rescue when a ruthless gang led by Luke Birch strong-arms old Whitey Nye into signing over his valuable lumber camp—and when the old man refuses, they set a forest fire to cover their crime. Racing through the roaring inferno with Whitey in tow, the great Comanche chieftain must outrun the flames, outwit the gunmen stalking them through the smoke, and expose the railroad scheme driving the whole murderous plot. It's a tale of greed, grit, and one hero against impossible odds in the wilderness.

Four Against the 7th
1 pp · non-fiction; western-frontier

In June 1876, as General Custer's Seventh Cavalry prepares to charge through a Sioux and Cheyenne encampment, four Cheyenne braves—Bobtail Horse, Roan Bear, and two others—ride out from camp determined to hold the ford and delay the cavalry's advance. Though vastly outnumbered, the four warriors open fire on the approaching troopers, creating enough uncertainty to halt Custer's charge and buy precious time for the Sioux under Crazy Horse to regroup and turn the tide of battle.

Robbery Rides the Rails!
7 pp · western-frontier

Dead-Beat Dawson and his gang plan a daring daylight heist: dynamite on the rails to derail a mail-train carrying $50,000 in gold. But when rancher Steve Adams stumbles onto their scheme and discovers their true identity as the vigilante Straight Arrow, he and his sidekick Packy race against time to stop the robbery before the thieves can claim their prize. With cunning and the help of his trusty palomino Fury, Straight Arrow must outmaneuver Dawson's crew and protect the train's precious cargo.

Cheyenne Challenge
7 pp · western-frontier

When Young Buffalo courts White Wing in traditional fashion, a prank and a spilled dinner pot spark a rivalry that escalates into increasingly dangerous challenges—each boy daring the other to prove his worth through wilder feats, from hunting a grizzly bear to capturing a live eagle. Red Hawk's quest to steal a sacred mask from a Pueblo ceremonial site sets him on a collision course with pursuing Apaches and jealous Young Buffalo, leading both warriors into capture and toward the torture stake.

The Rhyming Robber!
1 pp · western-frontier

During California's gold rush, a dapper bandit known as Black Bart terrorizes stagecoach routes across the frontier—but this gentleman thief has an unusual calling card: he leaves behind verses signed with his name, earning himself the title "The Poet." As holdup follows holdup and the mysterious robber's reputation grows, authorities scramble to track down the man behind the derby hat and cane before he strikes again.

Fang - Hound of Terror
8 pp · western-frontier
Straight Arrow [Steve Brand]Packy

When outlaw Slash Jenkins and his gang use a savage dog named Fang to terrorize the frontier, Straight Arrow picks up the trail—but soon discovers the real problem isn't the animal itself. After capturing Jenkins and his men, Straight Arrow finds himself caring for the injured Fang while the owlhoots languish in jail, setting the stage for a test of loyalty that will determine the dog's fate. A story about how a creature's nature depends on the hands that shape it, "Fang — Hound of Terror" proves that even the most fearsome companion can choose a better path.
