Sparkling Stars #27 (1947)

This is an anthology issue featuring multiple stories. "Jungol" follows film star Phil Gant, who disappeared into the jungle after a blow to the head during a hand-to-hand fight with a gorilla, and his actress bride Gloria Dean must venture into the dark jungle to rescue him from savage monsters and bring him back to civilization. Another story depicts a Navy combat plane pilot named Bloc engaging in aerial combat against Japanese forces during World War II, successfully detecting and destroying an enemy destroyer despite evasive maneuvers.
