"School Friend" #224 is an anthology featuring three complete stories. "Secret Enemy of the Pets Club" follows Monica Bond, a prefect with a grudge against the school's pets club, whose parrot escapes during class, leading the girls to discover the bird hidden in a plaster cast. "Trudy of the Lotus Flower" takes place in a Chinese palace where Trudy becomes lost in the corridors and encounters Lotus Flower, a mysterious girl claiming to be an impostor, before discovering a willow pattern that may prove Trudy's true identity. "Morna—Rebel of the Manor" by Hazel Armitage depicts Morna Wellington, a wild and rebellious girl at the manor, secretly engaged in mysterious nighttime activities on the moors involving wild orchids and a broken willow pattern connected to her past. "Susie's Wonder Cruise" by Jane Preston follows Susie Howard aboard the luxury liner S.S. Sunshine, where she becomes embroiled in intrigue involving an Eastern girl and encounters complications with two Arab men while trying to help passengers in disguise.
