Rangers Comics #69 is an anthology featuring three military adventure stories. "Robert the Bruce" depicts the historical Scottish warrior Edward of England leading an invasion of Scotland with his army of pikemen, swordsmen, and horsemen across glens and highlands toward Douglas Castle. "G.I. Jane in Wildfire" follows G.I. Jane Waters, stationed at a secret army experimental station in a western forest, as she drives a cargo truck toward the station but encounters a massive forest fire that blocks the road, forcing her to attempt a dangerous rescue of the vehicles ahead. "Suicide Smith" presents a bomber pilot and his crew attempting an emergency landing after their damaged transport aircraft receives a distress call, with the pilot declaring he will provide bomber escort for long-range strikes as they struggle to land safely.
