Range Rider #22 (1958)

In "The Lost Tribe," the Range Rider discovers that a Native American tribe he knows has been displaced from their traditional land by Duke Bellows and his gang, who are blocking access to the tribe's water source and demanding payment. When the tribe plans to return and reclaim their rights, Bellows threatens violence, but the Range Rider and the sheriff devise a clever plan using disguised silver to outwit the outlaws. In a separate story titled "The Silver Payoff," Sheriff Metcalf and mine owner Bob Walker face repeated silver shipment robberies from Piñon Canyon, and Bob uses a decoy tactic with low-grade silver hidden under valuable bars to finally catch the thieves and recover the stolen goods.
