Punch Perkins and the naval crew face intense combat as enemy destroyers prepare to cross their line of fire in the torpedo room. After a harrowing sequence of explosions and evasive maneuvers at sea, with the ship still rolling despite wind damage, Perkins and Martin must withdraw for repairs. The story concludes with a military engagement involving bombers dropping on a frozen harbor, monocloid tanks attacking from behind a barrage, and a devastating high-explosive tonnage strike that destroys the enemy position.
