The Little People of the Wheat Field discover a giant footprint on the Village Green and summon Peter and Beetle to investigate. As they follow the tracks, they encounter a large ogre and discover the creature has broken a fence and made a hole in Mrs. Toad's roof. Peter and Beetle pursue the ogre's trail across logs and through strange holes in the ground, where Beetle falls into what turns out to be a giant shoe.
