A twelve-year-old boy named Johnny, his teenage sister Mary, and their parents from the United States visit Ontario for the first time during one summer, traveling by automobile, railroad, boat, and airplane to explore the region. Throughout their journey, they visit Niagara Falls, Ottawa's historical buildings, Rideau Lakes for fishing and resort relaxation, Algonquin Park where they encounter friendly deer, Callander where the famous Dionne quintuplets were born in 1934, the Muskoka Lakes region, Collingwood on the Blue Water Highway, the Bruce Peninsula, and the city of Stratford for its Shakespearean Festival. The comic documents their various vacation experiences and impressions of Ontario's attractions and natural beauty.
