Jo, a former skin diver haunted by a traumatic dive, recounts his terrifying encounter with alien beings in the depths of the Florida Keys. After a failed descent where he’s stranded and overcome by sickness, he’s seized by strange, mist-like figures who are clearly not human. The story builds on his dread as he realizes he’s the intruder in a world that’s never meant for someone like him.
In "The Stranger from Space," a Venusian fugitive fleeing the wreckage of his planet—caused by his own cloud machine—plots to replicate his devastation on Earth, only to be intercepted by interplanetary enforcers. Left behind, his machine is discovered by Earthlings, who harness its power to bring rain and end a long drought.
In "The Antartic Monster," a colossal robot-shaped spaceship from Neptune crashes onto the icy wastes of Antarctica, terrifying a team of polar explorers who believe they’ve encountered a prehistoric beast. As the Neptunians emerge, their pursuit leads to a dramatic collapse when the robot’s weight breaks through thinning ice, sending it plunging into the Weddel Sea.
In "The Rain Maker," an aging inventor safeguards his groundbreaking rain machine from a greedy businessman and his eager aide, who see only profit in his creation. When their theft attempt fails, the old man activates a hidden paralysis device, leaving them frozen in their tracks.
