This anthology issue contains two main stories. The first, "Gangway for Pin-Up Pete," follows Marines Monty Hall, Canarsie, and Tex as they engage enemy forces in Korea, with the narrative focusing on their combat experiences and camaraderie during wartime operations. The second story, "The Puzzle of the Golden Idol," begins when Tex purchases a golden idol as a souvenir while in Korea, which then becomes the subject of multiple theft attempts after the Marines return stateside, leading to comic complications involving their possession of the mysterious artifact. The issue also features a text story titled "Hail, Canarsie, the Conquering Hero!" depicting Canarsie's experiences in the barracks with his fellow Marines and a surprise care package from home.
