This anthology issue contains three stories: "Ruski," in which a young boy in red clothing promises his father he will return with treasure after bandits have robbed their home, and subsequently battles numerous enemies and overcomes obstacles in a snowy forest landscape. "Cubby the Crafty Cub" depicts a resourceful bear cub constructing an elaborate beehive trap, which backfires comically when the contraption he builds explodes. "Zeno at the Earth's Core" follows scientist Neil Hammond and his assistant Corky as they descend 6.5 miles beneath the ocean in the Ocean Belle diving apparatus, discovering an immense steel door in an underground cavern and encountering a mysterious figure upon entry. An additional feature, "Gold!," presents various factual tidbits about gold discoveries and uses throughout history, illustrated with humorous vignettes.
