"Wishful Winnie" follows a young girl's fantasy in which her grandmother's wish to be a fairy-tale queen comes true, leading her on a magical adventure where she encounters a cannibal island and narrowly escapes being cooked, before mysteriously vanishing and returning to the cinema. "The Boxing Lesson" tells of Mickey Dolan's altercation with his cousin Dovercourt over a girl, during which Uncle Ned intervenes and ultimately teaches Mickey a lesson about sportsmanship by rewarding him five shillings. "Cliff and His Coaster" depicts two boys who attempt to slow their speeding homemade coaster by grabbing a fruit barrow, leading to a chase through town where they accidentally help catch a pickpocket who had robbed an old man.
