Lone Eagle accepts a magnificent new Winchester repeating rifle from Major Anderson at Fort Courage as a token of peace between their peoples, but when the chief sends his young nephew Hopping Squirrel back to the village with the weapon, a brutal war party of Blackfeet led by the savage Bloody Tomahawk intercepts the boy, tortures him for information, and seizes the rifle. Learning of the attack and fearing the Blackfeet now know of an incoming Army wagon train laden with more repeating rifles, Lone Eagle gathers his warriors and prepares for battle in the desolate ghost town of Skullville, where the enemy has laid a deadly ambush.
