Knockout Comic #477 is an anthology featuring multiple stories. "Daffy the Deputy Sheriff" follows the bumbling lawman as he attempts to exercise prisoners from the jail but bundles the task, ultimately allowing one to escape. "Tough Todd and Annie: The Runaway Orphans" depicts the siblings spotting Stiggins in a department store and pursuing him through various departments, including the sports section, where they cause chaos before being ejected. A serial story about Dick searching for the fugitive John Matcham in a supposedly haunted chapel unfolds across several pages, culminating in a revelation involving Joan Sedley. "Saki the Leopard Boy," a longer illustrated prose story, recounts Saki and his companion Nada's plan to trade ivory tusks for weapons from the Ferangus tribe to defend against attack.
