This anthology issue contains multiple stories. "The Outlaw King" follows Eric the Saxon boy and his companion Black Simon as they encounter the outlaw King Alfred and his band of Danes in the forest, leading to conflict over a treasure chest and eventually Eric's capture. A Robin Hood story depicts Robin being trapped by the Sheriff and Sir Guy of Gisborne at a tournament, though Lady Marian arrives too late to prevent his arrest. "Sexton Blake" features the detective pursuing a criminal named Gant and his accomplice Tinker through a castle, with Blake chasing them up stairs while trying to prevent their escape. The cover features a chaotic garden party scene at Fitzroy Garden Park with various humorous vignettes of characters and wordplay.
