Jim Solar, Space Sheriff, learns of a threat to Mars as enemy cruisers are sneaked to the planet Phobos. Jagga of Jupiter reports that the Mars fleet is en route, prompting Jim and his team to take immediate action. Jim devises a plan to shoot enemies through a projectile tube at Mars, though the high velocity will send them falling five thousand miles to their deaths once they pass beyond the planet's gravitational range. Jagga brings his lurking fleet from beyond the outer moon to intercept the enemy vessels before they can reach Mars.
