"Illustrated Chips" #1660 is an anthology comic featuring three main stories. "The Merry Adventures of Weary Willie and Tired Tim" depicts the two vagrant characters attempting to cook a fish they've caught, which leads to comical mishaps involving a cider barrel that explodes and creates chaos. "Loneley," subtitled "A Thrilling and Touching Story That Will Appeal to All," recounts the tale of a young orphan girl named Katie who is taken in by Lord Carstairs and must navigate his cottage household while enduring hardship and loneliness. "Ten Horse Power Dick: A Grand Tale of the Boy Who Can Make Things" follows a resourceful young mechanic named Dick Hayling who solves problems and pursues various mechanical projects, culminating in his discovery of mysterious documents related to a motor-car engine while working in London.
