"Illustrated Chips" #6 is an anthology comic containing three main stories. "The Merry Adventures of Weary Willie and Tired Tim" follows the two tramps as they attempt to cook fish they've caught, leading to comedic mishaps involving a cider barrel. "Lonely" tells the serious tale of a convict's child named Katie who is raised by Lord Carstairs after her father's execution, exploring themes of isolation, identity, and redemption as Katie grows into a young woman. "Ten Horse Power Dick" depicts Dick Hayling, a resourceful mechanic who rises from humble farm origins to become a skilled engineer and inventor, ultimately creating revolutionary motor-car designs. The issue also features additional shorter comic strips including stories about Pa Perkins and his son Percy, and Candy's College.
