In the wake of a mysterious death scheduled for two wildly different dates, Kid Eternity and Mr. Keeper investigate a discrepancy that leads them to Vincent Rogers, a young pharmacist who stumbles upon a smuggling ring tied to the powerful and brutal gang leader known as the Brute. When Rogers interferes with a late-night alcohol delivery, he draws the Brute’s wrath—only to be saved by Kid Eternity and a string of unexpected allies, setting off a chain of events that could expose a dangerous conspiracy.
In a whimsical twist, Jo and Silk stumble upon a fountain rumored to grant youth, leading them to scheme a quick profit by selling bottled water from it. As they set up their scam, they soon find themselves tangled in a farcical situation when the estate’s actual owner—author of a book on aging—shows up, unimpressed by their antics.
