Girls' Crystal #985 is an anthology containing three stories. "Daphne of Galleon Cove Camp" follows Bunty Rayner and Pat Simms, members of a schoolgirl camp, as they search for the mysterious Bell of the Cove and discover an unknown enemy in a hooded robe stealing a letter at the village post office, seeking the whereabouts of Daphne, the daughter of an addressed post office official. "Cherry of Happydale Hotel" by Jane Preston tells of Shirley Baker, a receptionist at the Happydale Hotel, who incurs a serious accusation of staining a fancy dress with paraffin while delivering a cardboard box containing the dress to the dressmaker for alterations, and must work to clear her name. "That Moroccan Birthday of Surprises" features Wendy Durlston and her brother Dick in Morocco, where they discover that a valuable heirloom, the Star of Shiraz, is being stolen by an Arab named Zala, who substitutes a fake brooch for the real one in Narina's birthday decorations.
