# Girls' Crystal #954 This issue is an anthology containing three stories. "Friends of the Gipsy Skater" follows Carol Fenton and Denia Gray, who rescue a gypsy girl named Mitzi from a disused water-mill where she was imprisoned by her rascally guardian Scarpio; Mitzi had hoped to win a skating contest while wearing a special costume that would provide a clue to a mystery in her life. "Wanda of Bear Park" by Sheila Austin chronicles a skating championship race involving the Mercer twins and other competitors, with Wanda Merrick determined to win despite sabotage attempts. "The Note in the Floating Clog" depicts Hetty and Hal's efforts to help their brother retrieve a violin and expose imposters aboard a yacht, using a secret message hidden in a wooden clog dropped into a river to communicate with their father and allies.
