On Coral Island’s quiet naval depot, a sudden airborne invasion catches a small Marine detachment off guard, scattering their jets and tanks. With enemy paratroopers descending on Fingertip Beach and their defenses crumbling, the Marines must improvise—repurposing naval torpedoes and depth charges into makeshift weapons to hold the line.
In the tense aftermath of a devastating Communist raid on a Nationalist Chinese fortress, a lone American submarine, the Starfish, is ordered to intercept a fleeing enemy convoy bound for safety in Amoy Harbor. With their periscope destroyed and the enemy destroyers closing in, the submarine’s commander makes a desperate gamble—venturing out through the escape hatch to become the ship’s eyes, guiding torpedoes from the surface while clinging to the shattered periscope.
In a tense wartime maneuver on the northeastern coast of Japan, American troops stage a mock invasion to test the Japanese defense army’s readiness—only to be ambushed by a disguised Communist force wearing U.S. uniforms and wielding captured American equipment. As the G.I.s fight to hold their position against overwhelming odds, they’re forced to use their enemy’s own weapons against them, narrowly staving off annihilation while waiting for reinforcements.
When a downed U.S. military cargo plane crash-lands in Burma, the surviving G.I.s must jury-rig its fuselage into a makeshift raft to float it down the Irawaddy River—delivering desperately needed food to starving villagers while evading relentless Communist guerrillas and a deadly enemy tank. Trapped between advancing foes and a leaking, unstable vessel, the crew races against time to reach their destination, knowing every mile could be their last.
