Frontier Scout, Dan'l Boone #12 (1956)

In "King of the Valley," Daniel Boone encounters a conflict in the Blue Mountains where a man named D'Argne seeks control of the valley using an iron hand and abundant capital, threatening to dominate the region. When a French immigrant named Bien offers to help D'Argne build a plantation, Boone becomes involved in the ensuing trouble, leading to a confrontation in town where Boone must stop D'Argne and his men from taking over the settlement.
