Sad Hack
5 pp · humor; teen
FreddyStuff

Stuff builds a ramshackle car from scrap parts and takes Freddy for a joyride to show off his creation—but the vehicle is so poorly constructed that it loses pieces (bumpers, fenders, wheels, even the radiator) with every bump and turn. When the brakes turn out to be missing entirely, Stuff's unconventional method of stopping lands them off the road on his uncle's farm, where the decrepit contraption finally finds a new purpose as a hay wagon.

Fall Guys
5 pp · humor; teen
FreddyStuffRipPeggy

Freddy challenges his rival Rip to a ski race down the mountain with a prize that's sure to get his attention—a date to the school dance with Peggy. When Freddy's usual bumbling leads him astray on the slopes, he enlists some creative (and chaotic) help to stay in the race, resulting in a wild descent that leaves both competitors in hilariously frozen states by the time they reach the bottom.

Spring Planting

HelenJimDick

When a teenage boy tries to win over his girlfriend Helen's father by planting special African seeds from a friend's uncle, he discovers the gift comes with some unexpected—and hungry—consequences. With a flock of crows hot on his heels and the garden in chaos, he finally gets the older man's undivided attention, though perhaps not quite in the way he'd hoped. A humorous tale about good intentions going hilariously awry.

Stuff's Folks

FreddyStuffStuff's family

Freddy steers an advertising man from Hinkle's Department Store to his pal Stuff's address, hoping Stuff's family will be selected as an "average American family" for photographs and prizes. But when the photographer arrives at 22 Nutcluster Street, he finds himself caught in a comedy of miscommunication with Stuff's bewildered mother, father, and grandmother—who suspect he's either a salesman or a con artist—before things take an unexpectedly chaotic turn. It's a lighthearted romp that proves you never know what you're really getting into when you volunteer to be "average."
