Jo, an American painter visiting Venice, is unnerved by an overwhelming sense of familiarity as he tours the city—especially at the Palazzo Rimini, where he briefly sees a mysterious woman who vanishes. Drawn by a haunting portrait in a museum and a cryptic note signed "Teresa," he follows a growing compulsion to the very same palace, where he’s confronted by a woman who claims he’s her long-lost husband, Antonio Del Rimini.
When Nancy arrives at War Drum Canyon Radar Station to reunite with her fiancé Craig, they’re suddenly attacked by eerie, corpse-reanimating invaders known as Deadlings. As the Deadlings overrun the station and begin spreading from ancient burial grounds, Craig and Nancy must flee a deadly climb while confronting the horrifying truth that the invaders are taking control of human bodies—until Craig makes a desperate, last-minute decision to use his own mind to turn the tide.
Caton Harsh is smitten with the wealthy widow Cynthia Krone, but his affection is less about her than the fortune she stands to inherit. As he grows increasingly obsessed with the locked West Wing—where she spends nights with her strange, human-like pets and never allows him to enter—his suspicions deepen, especially when he notices the absence of any photos of her past husbands. The mystery of what lies behind those doors and the unsettling truth about her late husbands begins to unravel in ways that unsettle even the most rational mind.
In a midwestern town, a corrupt mayor and his brother-in-law profit from a dangerously underbuilt dam, ignoring warnings about its structural flaws. After the dam collapses during heavy rains, killing many, they are acquitted in a court trial due to lack of solid evidence—only to be confronted in the dead of night by a spectral jury of the flood’s victims, who deliver their own grim verdict.
