"Big Bomber" follows Colonel John Brimley and Captain Henry Jessup as they prepare to fly a new Boeing B-52 bomber with eight engines from Mogoda Airfield in northern Japan. When a Japanese pilot, Inejiro Asunuma, learns of the mission and realizes American forces have developed this formidable new aircraft, he devises a plan to report it to Red forces. The B-52 takes flight with orders to bomb Berlin, and despite one bomber failing to return, the mission succeeds in striking the Nazi capital, with the pilots demonstrating the capabilities of this advanced American aircraft.
