This anthology issue features two main stories: "Let's Have a Big Draw This Whitsun," a Laurel and Hardy comic about the comedy duo attempting to enter their instruments in a competition at a fair, which devolves into chaos when their items malfunction; and "The Woman in the Shadows," a Jack Keen mystery story involving Detective Keen investigating the theft of jewels from a safe at a financier's house, with suspicion falling on various household servants. A third story, "The House of Fear," follows Charles Peters as he investigates a mysterious mansion called the Towers, discovering it harbors dark secrets and hidden dangers related to an old family mystery.
